  • A teaching practice grounded in equity, informed by diverse perspectives, identities, and lived experiences

  • The ability to design project-based, interdisciplinary learning experiences driven by student interests

  • A thoughtful approach to physical education and a love of using the outdoors for movement, play, and exploration

  • Skills in supporting academic development in literacy, numeracy, and executive functioning using responsive, personalized strategies

  • A commitment to emotionally safe, trusting learning environments that foster autonomy, curiosity, and connection

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit when working with colleagues, families, and students

  • A growth mindset — ready to rethink, adapt, and innovate

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and facilitate interdisciplinary projects that integrate academic skills with real-world inquiry

  • Support foundational and advanced skill-building in literacy, numeracy, and executive functioning

  • Plan and lead physical education experiences that are inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate

  • Use nearby parks and outdoor spaces as natural extensions of the classroom

  • Nurture social-emotional growth and foster strong student relationships

  • Document student learning and communicate growth in meaningful, authentic ways

  • Contribute actively to a collaborative, compassionate school culture rooted in continuous learning and innovation

Qualifications

  • Comfort and creativity in leading physical education and outdoor learning

  • Openness to learn and grow alongside students in a dynamic, collaborative environment
